Just a piece of Wrestling history. I remember as a yound kid convincing my Brother and his girlfriend to take me to the wrestling matches at the old Bostn Garden. Main Event was BlackJack Mulligan VS The Champion Pedro Morales for the belt. Special referee was the famous Gorilla Monsoon. There was one light on during the Main event and iluminated the ring. BlackJack was killing Morales in the corner when out of nowhere a man of the same origin as morales jumped into the ring with a machedi and began to cut seriously slash Blackjack. When Gorilla realized it was not part of the act, he rushed to BlackJacks defense, Grabbed the man and through him accross the ring. The man proceeded to go under the ring rope and out one of the exits. The bell sounded, the light came on and several people at this point were rushing to help MulLigan. Article in the Boston Globe the next day read "Mulligan was taken to Mass General with multiple slash wounds to his chest, legs and arms requiring several stiches. Since that night, all futuer Wrestling matches have all the stadium lights on and alot more security.

No, Blackjack's grandson Windham wrestles as "Husky Harris". "McGillicutty" is actually Joe Hennig, who is Curt (Mr. Perfect's) son.

Blackjack's grandson Windham Rotundo is a member of Nexus in WWE - he wrestles as "McGillicutty" )I don't remember his first name).

I never forgot THAT match! I saw it as a small child the age of 10. I had been a fan Of BJ's every sense I first saw him climb into the ring as a heal in the NWA. The hat and the Robe is one of my best loved childhood memories! LOL Then he went baby face... I have to say I liked him better as a heal, but have ALWAYS remained a fan.

omg!! we have been watching wrestling on and off for years...but we started off watching Blackjack Mulligan and Dusty Rhodes! Wow good times...we never saw the Blackjacks, I guess that was before our time:( We sure did love us some Blackjack tho! Glad to hear he's still alive--what is he up to now? What about Barry and Kendall? Currently, we have been watching NXT and imagine our surprise when Blackjack's grandson came on...Husky Harris...he even wore Barry Windhams boots! Too bad he was eliminated last night...unfortunately he didn't have the pazazz of his family before him...but he sure did bring back some fond memories of "back in the day"...who remembers "Wahoo McDaniels", "Ricky Steamboat", "Jean and Olie Anderson", "Jay Youngblood", "Big Bobby Duncan", "The Iron Sheik", "Dusty Rhodes", "The Road Warriors", "The Rock-n-Roll Express", "The Four Horsemen" and of course, the King of the Ring himself: "Ric Flair"?? Anyone watch TNA?

If anything, both Blackjack Mulligan and also tag team partner Blackjack Lanza missed their calling, and should've starred in some Hollywood Westerns. But they both excelled at wrestling I'll give them that.

When I was a small child, before age one, I had started watching wrestling and Black Jack has always been one of my favorite wrestlers. What a credit to the sport of wrestling he is! I just have a huge amount of respect an admiration for Mr. Windham. "Thank you" sir; for all the wonderful memories!
