King Kong Bundy (Alive)

Chris Pallies [1957 - Present]

Pro wrestler King Kong Bundy

Weighing in at 450+ pounds, King Kong Bundy was discovered by the Von Erich family, first wrestled as "Big Daddy Bundy" and then was recruited by manager Gary Hart. He had now adopted the name King Kong Bundy along with a new look: completely hairless with pale skin and a black singlet. Bundy engaged in legendary feuds with Ric Flair, Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan during the mid-1980s. He also won the shortest match in WrestleMania history by defeating S.D. "Special Delivery" Jones in just 9 seconds in 1985. Bundy wrestled sporadically during the 1990s and even made a couple of appearances on "Married . . . with Children." Although he occasionally still wrestles, Bundy has recently embarked on a new career as a stand-up comedian.

Definitely a childhood icon. That guy is awesome.

I wish I can watch him wrestle one more time because he is my favorite old school wrestler and I wish he can come over to my house and teach me and train me to know about the WWE and become a WWE superstar

I remember meeting him at an endorsement promotion approx. 33 years ago in little Cumberland RI. Me and my best friend heard he'd be at Ann n Hope store doing a computer promo .We met him and he was so cool and I always remember him telling us his real name Chris Palisse from NJ.. We were 10 years old and the typical boyishly innocent fans. We went to a nearby popular diner and low and behold he walks in with his entourage. We were huge Hulk Hogan fans but the love and attention he gave to us was awesome!! I'm so glad he's still alive and I hope he is well. He made an impact that I still remember at 43 years old..Thanks again Chris!

Bobby Gibson - 2015-09-11 14:34:50

I hope King Kong Bundy can contact me someday on my Computer E-mail Address of because I have some questions to ask Him.

Mike H from Massachusetts - 2015-07-21 10:04:51

Bundy on Married with Children was hilarious. I always laugh when Bud asks him if he is going to put his head in the salad bar again and Bundy replies "if you are good"....classic.

I knew Jerry Ralph when we both worked in Food Service at the old Tennessee State Prison Prison in Nashville, TN. At one Point a big burly Inmate at the Prison attacked him. Jerry picked him up and set him in hot soapy Water in the Pot Sink. That Guy steered clear of Jerry after that. I do know that at one Time he was Part of the Tag Team the Infernos with Tony Perkins. The Last I knew Tony was a Correctional Officer at Riverbend Prison in Nashvile. He worked there in Unit four at the Prison. The last Time I saw Jerry, he was working Food Service at Shoneys. If Memory serves correctly, it was the Shoneys on Murfreesboro Road in Nashville. He told me that his Father was at one Time a Police Officer in Lakewood, TN which is close to Old Hickory. I met his Wife years ago before they were diviorced.

Looking to book Mr Bundy here for a convention in October. Anyone know how to get ahold of him?

Justin Ralph, Sr. - 2014-03-20 13:16:06

Mr. West Before you publish anything in public, please check out your facts. Yes, my father was a Pro wrestler. Yes, he did work as King Kong Bundy. No, when he died he was almost broke. I have received official notice from the stated companies that my father told his wife he had stock in. She and I both now know that there are no stocks. Yes Carolyn and myself are in probate, jointly. I am an exact copy of my father in attitude and business. Again please get you facts true and accurate before you post something on a public forum. If you have any problems with me, you can reach me on facebook. Or both my uncle and stepmother have my address. I am a straight forward adult. I expect respect from those who use my name for public or private issues. If you or anyone else can not do this, leave me out of the drama. This is my one and only polite request. Slander is an illegal act punishable by local, state and federal laws.

Some where between 2004 and 2005 , there was a man that claimed to be King Kong Bundy working for Dynamic Security in Nashville TN , I met the guy. I was very skeptical about it however I was told his references checked out by management. I worked for Dynamic for a while and I only met the guy once. Just wanted to know if anyone could confirm this?? Did I actually meet King Kong Bundy?

Rich west - 2012-12-18 04:29:07

Met KKB - 2012-10-07 06:19:04

A year or so ago I was at an IHOP (location removed to preserve his anonymity) and I noticed this massive guy sit down at a table over from me. It was around 2am, so there was only one waitress on staff, and only one section open to be seated. I noticed him, but didn't pay much attention--except that I noticed a massive roll of fat at the base of the back of his neck. It triggered some distant memory that I couldn't place, and the girl I was with was more interesting at the time. It was about the time I remember having a rubber doll of some wrestler (with a roll of neck fat) as a child, that I heard this beast of a man order four entrees...a couple minutes later I turned to him and apologized, saying he looked familiar. He asked me if I watched wrestling...after stumbling over my response he recounted tales of his career: most notably was his time when he tag teamed with Van Vader and went on a Iraqi tour, only to wind up in prison, making a desperate call to Vince McMahon to get them out. I write this account of my interaction with KKB for one purpose: To dispel the myth of the dumb wrestlers who have no choice but to go in to wrestling. KKB was very articulate, charming, and was at IHOP to study for a test, working on his fourth masters degree. May he be granted continued success and longevity.

King Kong Bundy ( Jerry Ralph ) is a legend in the world of pro wrestling and should be in the Hall of Fame. I urge all wrestling fans to flood the WWE office with letters on getting this man what is due to him. I have personally known King Kong Bundy for a number of years and you can not ask for a better gentleman. So join me in getting this man into the wrestling Hall of Fame. Thank You.

mike - 2010-11-02 03:55:31

In the AWA he was known as Boom Boom Bundy

Ernie - 2010-08-24 13:37:15

richard west - 2010-05-13 03:43:43

i heard they were 2 king kong bundy s first one name is jerry ralph from nashville he got in bad health and cris took over is this true

anonymous - 2009-08-06 01:46:58

he couldnt wrestle so it doesn't matter what he weighed

Christopher Chipps - 2009-06-05 18:29:15

I doubt if King Kong Bundy really weighed 450 pounds. I know they exaggerate a wrestler's height and weight. I believe Bundy only weighed about 400 to 410 pounds.

SS - 2008-12-20 11:44:46

It said the shortest match in WrestleMania history and not the quickest match in the history of the company, But your right about Uncle Elma as having the quickest match but i' not who it was against

TR - 2008-10-17 12:36:13

I thought Uncle Elmer eclipsed King Kong Bundys speediest match record when they were giving him a push. I thought the man he beat was Swede Hanson.
