"The Great Kabuki" Video

The personification of total evil, The Great Kabuki terrorized his opponents with both his look - scraggly hair and paint-smeared face - as well as his notoriously unconventional methods. For instance, Kabuki was reportedly the first wrestler ever to blow Asian mist into his opponents' faces! Born in Nobeoka, Japan, The Great Kabuki started wrestling for the Japanese Wrestling Association in 1964 under the name Akihisa Takachihō but adopted his feared Great Kabuki persona in the late '70s in Southwest Championship Wrestling. In addition to the use of Asian mist, The Great Kabuki enjoyed intimidating his opponents with pre-match nunchaku rituals. Kabuki retired from the ring in 1998 and hasn't been heard of since . . .

He worked in Japan some after that. Worked a "father" vs. "son" match with Muta.

He has a restaurant 10 minutes away from Korakuen Hall. I ate "Babyface Chanko" there.
