Koko B. Ware hailed from Union City, Tennessee, and won the Pro Wrestling Rookie of the Year Award in 1979. Also known as The Birdman, Ware entered the ring with his macaw, Frankie (which was lost in a fire five years ago, according to his official website), and performed his legendary birdman dance before and after each match. Ware's signature move was known as the "Birdbuster." Today, Ware is semi-retired from the ring and has a new macaw, Frankie Jr.
James was a charismatic wrestler...it's good to see he's still alive and kickin somewhere.
Was put in the wwe hall of fame 2009
A HACK AT BEST, SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT OUT OF HIS MISERY YEARS AGO (AS A WRESTLER).
Poor Frankie- I have a parrot named frankie in his memory. Koko and Frankie ruled!! they brought so much entertainment to the youngsters back in the day- myslef included.
Koko was a pretty entertaining wrestler, but unfortunately loses some of his luster due to his WWF tenure occurring during the promotion's most cartoon-like period. The WWE has begun inducting some wrestlers who aren't exactly Hall of Fame caliber, such as $1,000,000 Man Ted DiBiase. Don't misunderstand me; Ted was great in the ring, but that character he played was absolutely ridiculous. It's time to petition Vince to finally bury the hatchet and induct Bruno Sammartino into the Hall. How the hell can you have Johnny Rodz, Koko B. Ware, Pete Rose (he really is in there - in the words of Kurt Angle: "It's true, it's true") and not have Bruno? Or are they waiting till after they induct Bob Uecker (who interviewed Andre the Giant and Bobby Heenan backstage at Wrestlemania III and never did anything else with the company)?
Bruno was offered to be inducted but turned it down. He has never liked Vince, Jr. and the direction the company took. Bruno is old school and will not sell himself out to the antics, steroids and bs the WWF has turned to. I would like to see Bruno in the Hall, but I can not blame him. He is my favorite and always will be.
Koko was not that good of a wrestler, and what titles did he win, while he was in the WWF. He was not and is not Hall of Fame material. I just think they picked out of a hat to get him in. I could think of 100 more, who had a better chance than Koko. Next Hall of Fame, they might as well put in Frankie Williams.
james ware he is a good man you no me has puggie
