A four-time World Heavyweight Champion, the square-jawed Sgt. Slaughter began his professional wrestling career in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Always a fan favorite, the 6'6", 320 pound Slaughter carried on a memorable feud with The Iron Sheik during the early 1980s. At the Royal Rumble in 1991, Slaughter defeated The Ultimate Warrior to capture the WWF Championship but lost the title to Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VII. Slaughter, who popularized a move known as the "Cobra Clutch," was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. Today, Slaughter devotes much of his time to helping raise funds for organizations such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
