"Ravishing" Rick Rude

"Rick Rude" Video

A two-time Heavyweight Champion, "Ravishing" Rick Rude was born on Pearl Harbor Day 1958 and grew up in Minnesota. After stints as a bouncer and arm wrestler, he began wrestling in the early 1980s as Ricky Rood. In 1989, Rude won the WWF Intercontinental Championship by defeating The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania V. Rude captured the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1993 but was forced to retire that same year due to a back injury (over the next few years, he made several rather unsuccessful comeback attempts). Rude died of heart failure at the age of 40 in 1999.

In my opinion the most underrated wrestler of all time along with Mr.Perfect, he was almost as good as Flair, and probabley better then Demolition all together. Now Simply Perfect would have been best tag team of all time, most likely!

no you are right mate. under rated stars Rude and Perfect. because they were heels they spent a lot of time making other wrestlers look good and that takes a lot of skill. Perfect against Hart is one of the all time great macthes in wrestling history

Known as a legitimate tough guy. Extraordinary wrestling skills when compared to other WWF wrestlers of his time.

mr perfect and rude were awesome, they made a poor flair look good..why flair was considered so great is just unreasonable!

As a former jobber with WCW I had the opportunity to wrestle Rick and I have to say that was one of the easiest men to work with.RIP Rick we lost a great athlete.

One time he blasted a fart when me and Ralph were walking behind him at the match. Ralph fell down when the wall of stench hit him. I was smart and veered off to the right and dove down under some seats. Rude just turned his head around toward Ralph and chuckled and continued on toward the squared circle.

In real life, Rude was a good, tough fighter. I doubt there was anyone in the locker room that would have wanted to tangle with him in a real fight.

He may have been as great or as bad as you all say..... better to burn out, than fade away.... He skyrocketed to fame and is remembered by a lot of people. Any of you can say that?
