At 6'6" and 315 lbs., John Nord was a formidable presence in the wrestling ring who had trained under legendary pro wrestler Verne Gagne. Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Nord made his professional wrestling debut in 1984 as "The Barbarian" for Mid-South Wrestling. In 1986, he changed his ring name to "Nord the Barbarian" and wrestled in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) where he frequently joined forces with Bruiser Brody. Nord soon joined World Class Championship Wrestling where he was managed by Gary Hart and feuded with Kevin Von Erich. In 1989, Nord returned to the AWA as "Yukon John" and teamed up with Scott Norton to form the "Yukon Lumberjacks." After a short stint with Pacific Northwest Wrestling, Nord headed to the World Wrestling Federation as "The Viking" and soon changed his name once again to "The Berzerker." Managed by Mr. Fuji, The Berzerker feuded with Davey Boy Smith and The Undertaker. He joined All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1994 and then wrestled under his real name for World Championship Wrestling in 1997 and 1998. Nord retired from wrestling in 2002 and currently works at his brother's auto dealership, Nord East Motors, in Hilltop, Minnesota.

Seen him as the Berzerker in Cornwall, On. doing a hilarious interview by the St.Lawrence River behind the Civic Complex. Mr. Fuji was saying that they were in China and Berzerker was swimming this river in prep. for his match with 'taker. There was a good crowd watching and they got a nice 'pop' afterwards. USSHH!!USSHH!USSHH!

Would you buy a used car from this man? (You'd better if you know what's good for you!) He could pass for "Bruiser Brodie" as a matter of fact, I beleive they tagged team with one another on some occasions.
